About Dementia Carers Count

Who We Are:

Dementia Carers Count (DCC) is a national charity dedicated to supporting family and friends caring for someone with dementia.

What We Do:

At DCC we believe that dementia carers count. We provide education, skills development and therapeutic services to family carers, who really need support but often find that it just isn’t there for them. Family carers tell us that our services making a lasting difference to their lives, they can develop skills and build confidence to navigate the highs and lows of caring for those with dementia. They learn how to make life manageable and maintain their own health and well-being, which is vital in being able to support those with dementia. All our services are free and we intend to keep it that way.

Why We Need You:

Make your jump count!

By supporting DCC with your sky dive, you are helping us to support dementia carers to attend our free courses which provide a supportive environment for those caring for someone with dementia to learn, connect and receive practical support to feel empowered in their caring role.

We want everyone who needs our support to receive it, but we can only do this with your help. With a diagnosis of dementia taking place every four seconds, and 1.6 million individuals expected to be living with dementia by 2040 in the UK alone, a global spotlight has been cast on the condition.

Every year we must raise vital funds to continue our services for those who need us at a challenging time in their lives. We receive no government funding, so your support means you are helping to provide a crucial service which is only going to be in greater need in the future.
