About Headlight Mental Health Charity

Who We Are:

We are the registered charity of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. We provide support to people in our communities who are fighting mental illness, helping over 36,000 people every year.1 in 4 of us suffer from mental illness, and it can affect anyone. From schizophrenia to dementia, depression to PTSD, mental health has a debilitating effect on people’s lives.  Recovery is a long road, and for some their mental health issues will be lifelong. We exist to do more for people struggling with mental health, and won’t rest until it’s treated with the same importance as physical health.

Find us on Facebook.

What We Do:

We work alongside the Trust, going above and beyond what the NHS is able to provide. We provide the funding to enhance our hospital environments to be more comfortable and welcoming, promote recovery through additional therapies and recreational activities, and we actively raise awareness of mental health issues in our local communities.

Why We Need You:

Because only with the support of people like you can we realise our ambition of mental health being treated with the same importance as physical health. We rely on the generosity of our supporters to be able to provide the support that is so desperately needed by thousands of people each year.
