About YPI

Who We Are:

YPI are a mental health charity for young people aged 11-25 coping with issues such as abuse, depression, anxiety, risk taking behaviour and many other issues. We offer a first class mental health service for young people and believe early intervention is the key to help young people overcome mental health issues and allow them to reach full potential.

What We Do:

We offer one to one counselling tailored for each young person to help identify and learn the tools and strategies they need to overcome mental health issues. We also offer a mentoring program to help with mental health issues, provide a positive role model to keep young people away from risk taking behaviour and crime and work closely with the schools to keep young people in education and build a social network to allow for long term support for mental health issues.

Why We Need You:

Although mental health issues are becoming more widely talked about and understood there is still not enough funding to reach all the young people in desperate need of help with only one in four young people getting any support. Covid has also brought a tsunami of young people in desperate need of support, and we simply do not have the funds to reach them. £250 provides enough support to put one young person through counselling and changes their life allowing them to stay in education, find meaningful employment, become socially active and reach full potential. Please help us to reach these young people.
